And we would have been through the learning curve needed already at a stage 
before so much software was rolled out with the concept of 'dumb user' in 
mind.  Most likely would have reduced the bloat ware, and as we've already 
discussed ad infinitum, the security risks 'might' have been less.  Of 
course, the dangerous rogues out there may have turned their attention to 
*nix based OS environments. MS was just an easy mark because it was the 
pervasive enrivonment -- bang for the buck.
