Absolutely risible. Hackers have already created an army of zombie
Windows boxes that are used for spam and pr0n distro throughout the
world. Hang five while I bare my other leg .. it needs a good pull too.
Did the writer just crawl out from under a rock? Come down in the last
rain shower? Get paid by MS to be its mouthpiece? WTF?
This begs the question as to why, if the software source is exposed,
would the system be any more insecure. Open source software (remember than
one?) can be examined by anyone, from pauper to king, technocrat to
hacker. And open source is demonstrably more secure than Microsoft
products and operating systems.
Methinks the MS spokespeople and inner circles are afraid that
the vast insecurities built into the Windows operation systems
can be exploited once known. This is called "security by obscurity".
