Here here. I have 3 FreeBSD desktops on my desk :)
(1 runs KDE, 1 runs GNOME, 1 runs Afterstep)

My favourite program is x2x - I can use 1 mouse and keyboard for all three
desktops! (4 screens total - my main desktop has 2 monitors)  It looks
pretty impressive when the pointer literally moves from one end of the
desk to the other :)

FreeBSD will also run all your linux programs.
