onya, Roger!
i've been working with OSS for a little while, and i just agreed to be
tech support for a Newsletter module called pnTresMailer, at
http://canvas.anubix.net
i've read all the arguments pro/con OSS, but nobody seems to want to say
the blindingly obvious:
OSS is FUN! i haven't enjoyed programming so much for years, it's great
being part of a community based on mutual respect and support, and very
satisfying to make a tiny change and see it ripple through the user
base.
i don't know how to measure fun on the ruler of the economic rationalist
scale of values, but it'll do me nicely as motivation, thank you very
much.
so Roger, please, please, stick in a paragraph on "Theoretical and
Applied Fun" or similar.
regards,
