Besides the wait-time for downloads on a dial up line, the dangers of
getting things into my mailbox that may or may not delete has made me a
firm believer in webmail based deletions from the Index entries. So far it
has provided both a faster download experience by throwing out the crap and
avoiding getting possible viruses before they come to my machine.
I also discovered that viewing a suspect email in my webmail display of the
browser reveals the full address for the bank spoofed websites where spaces
and an alternate IP address is attached to the URL when I point to the
link. I had to write down the URL of the site before I deleted the
message because there was no way to cut paste it. so if anyone wants to
follow up where the Westpac bank spoof site is, the url given was
olb.westpac.com.au @207.150.192.1 . I was thinking about
sending to the AFP.
