Subject: [LINK] Multi-pane workspace and window focus in MS WIndows???
Hi
To cut a long story short, due to new technology going into my glider, I
am forced to spend more time on MS Windows (desktop and, unfortunately,
PDA versions).
The limits to my workspace in Windows are driving me mad - I live on
Linux/Gnome with 4 workspaces active, between which I switch with a
keystroke (or the mouse). Living on ONE workspace in Windows is driving
me mad - as is the inability of Windows to have more flexibility about
window focus. In Linux/Gnome, I can move focus to a window without it
leaping to the top of a stack. This is not possible in Windows as far as
I can see.
So - can anyone here help me with these? Back in the days of Windows 3.1
(I think) I remember hearing about something that allowed many
workspaces on a Windows machine...
