[LINK] No ABC website...feeling disoriented

Hi,

I feel like I'm currently missing out of some sort of joke. Neither
www.abc.net.au nor www.abc.gov.au seem to resolve in DNS (I don't think
it's a problem with my regional DNS servers per se, as I have tried it
on servers in the USA that are unconnected with any that I use in
Australia). Google's web cache seems to confirm that I was /not/
hallucinating when I thought that the Australian Broadcasting
Corporation had a public website! So why is it inaccessible? Is it the
ABC's fault? AusRegistry's? I presume e-mail will be bouncing, too.

I had a look at the WHOIS information from AusRegistry, then I polled
the cited name servers. They were both unable to respond positively for
abc.{net,gov}.au, though they did successfully answer queries for other
domains. Were they the correct servers? Has the ABC shot itself in the
foot? I suppose that if I had a television or a radio or a telephone
within arm's reach I could probably find out, but sod's law doesn't
work that way, does it?
