If GN told you that, they're deluded. Or rather they're making excuses ...
It's also a completely arbitrary distinction.
Hell, Dickens wrote whole newspapers solo. "I'm sorry Mr Dickens, we won't
stock the newspaper in the library. I know you sell 20,000 copies each day,
but it's written by one person alone."
What an iniquitous way to run a search engine!

Google News won't include sites produced by a single person -- that's
what they told me when I tried to get http://dannyreviews.com/chron.html
included -- and I think The Inquirer is close to being a one-man shop.
