Recently I was helping review the IT faculty of a regional Australian
university. Rather than teach on-line, they develop courses for traditional
delivery on their campus. They then franchise the content to commercial
providers who have their own staff and campuses. This seemed to work well
for everyone: the staff, the students, the commercial providers and the
university's bank balance.
