I haven't actually looked at the question as to whether Australia's
vassal status under the FTA requires us to:
(a) adopt the copyright-owner-favouring elements of the US legislation
as they applied at whatever the relevant date is (end of 2004?); OR
(b) progressively adapt our copyright legislation each time a change is made
to US copyright law.
Does anyone have a clear picture of the extent to which we signed
forward obligations on top of the current ones?
