I've been asked to contribute some information to people in the
project team at 'Who is Who in the Internet World':
http://www.wiwiw.org/

Does anyone have any knowledge of this group?

They've come to me because they found this:

They're asking for "some contacts (names, emails, profiles) of any of
[people who have been a pioneer in his/her country, who has made
possible the development of Internet in his/her country]".

Several key people (Robert Elz comes to mind straight away) would
probably be pleased not to have people like this contact him. On the
other hand, we do need to have recognition of those Australians who
made vital contributions, both internationally and within Australia.
(The Telstra-AFR competition web-site - which included a 'Hall of
Fame' list - has long since disappeared). So I'm in two minds ...
