no, i am not owned by anyone, not even myself. i am not property. i am not
even potential property. if i were property, i would be a slave. like all
other people, i am completely outside of the terms of reference for property.

if only you honestly believed that.

The GPL is not "intellectual property". IP does not exist. the GPL is
a *license* which allows copyrighted works to be used, modified, and
redistributed as long as certain conditions are met.

i have no objection to personal property. what i am against is the
relentless campaign to convert *everything* to property, even things
that are not, can not, and should not be property. i am opposed to the
ruthless "land-grab" that is in progress, stealing everything that
isn't nailed down and converting it into property. i am against the
continual extension of copyright (both in years and in restrictions
imposed), and i am against the patenting of algorithms, software, and
other non-inventions. i am opposed to the stifling effect on culture and
on research & development that is created by over-broad and over-long
application of copyrights and patents.

that's a joke. i'm more interested in an enlightened future than the
fascist past you seem to be in favour of.
