this is precisely the point I was making. the implicit assumption is that
you and the author think they know peoples expectation of privacy. you
have no more idea about what people expect then I do. I am however
more optimistic and read people based on my experience which is people
are not sheep about it, they actually just plain dont care. not through
ignorance, but because people have an expectation that high quality goods
and services should be plentiful.
and that the more business know about them the better
tailored and more suitable goods and services can be made availlable to them.
