As an aside, this is one thing that irks me about the Internet and 
emails - the very lax standards that posters maintain WRT to spelling, 
punctuation and grammar.  I wouldn't say that mine is anywhere near 
perfect, in fact my grammar is often abysmal and I probably over 
punctuate but at least I use a spell checker.  My real hatred is the 
lack of the use of upper case in the correct place.

I think a lot of the problem stems from the convenience and immediacy of 
email.
