Excellent observation! Again an example of how someone who understands how
online communications work considers the result of their participation,
while people who don't, who see these areas as 'closed' or at least 'gated'
communities put it all out there. A friend of mine in Indiana just posted
his cell and his mother's phone number in a 'closed' yahoo group, but I'm
not at all sure how 'closed' those really are, despite them being
moderated. Certainly more closed than Link!
I think it's also a lesson in being thoughtful [almost wrote 'careful']
about what you write on the net, even if you think it will be private. We
all have heard the bits about 'send all' by mistake or relationships going
sour and old emails being passed along. If you don't want someone else to
see what you wrote, don't put it on the Internet! I tend to be a bit more
open about things generally [as well as thoughtful most of the time], so I
don't worry much about it.

I'm glad not all nearly 300 people post! Link is generally a medium volume
list when the threads are appropriate. This is another quandary of online
discussions: if the volume gets to large, the participant list often
declines. I've never figured out a way around that one.
And thanks to you guys for getting us back on topic!
