ahem, this would be a very hard thing to do in some centres.  I don't know 
how many tradies come in with their workclothes and boots looking very 
shabby, but still need to buy things.  Probably most are like this in 
hardware stores where this 'look' would be expected, but you gotta admit 
seeing them in the general malls as well from time to time.  I'd bet that 
tradesperson [heard that on radio yesterday instead of tradesman] earns 
twice to 3 times what the mall guards earn.  <shaking head>
