[Back from a week away, I'm having trouble sifting through the
increasing amount of diatribe on the list in order to find the gems.
Has anyone posted any analyses of the outcomes of Tunis last week, or
links to other people's analyses? The following is just the base
reference]
http://www.ngocongo.org/ngomeet/WSIS/TunisAgenda.htm
See in particular paras. 67-82
An Internet Governance Forum is to be established.
"The IGF would have no oversight function and would not replace
existing arrangements, mechanisms, institutions or organisations, but
would involve them and take advantage of their expertise. It would be
constituted as a neutral, non-duplicative and non-binding process. It
would have no involvement in day-to-day or technical operations of
the Internet."
[Am I being naive, or is this good news?]
