My guess is that they are possibly referring to PSTN in-dial numbers to 
VoIP termination. For example, I have an Asterisk PBX server in 
Melbourne with a VOIP account that has two DID numbers, one in Sydney 
and the other in Melbourne. If I change VOIP providers, I'm assuming 
they'd want me to be able to port those DIDs across to my new provider.

But then again, assumptions are the mother of all stuff-ups. :) So, I 
could be completely wrong.
