it baffle me why the movie industry persists with this bit of nonsense actually. I have yet to find a dvd
player that isnt multizone or cant trivially be made multi zone and that includes burners. I buy most current dvds from amazon shops
as mostly ex US rentals at a small fraction of the price of new zone 4 dvds. and usually before they are released as zone 4.
whatever purpose zoning served a decade ago clearly has no purpose today when international sales are cheap and trivial to get.
