[LINK] ASUS Eee PC, $499 in Myer for Christmas

   I forwarded some of the Link discussion re the ASUS Eee PC  to a friend, who comments as follows.

"What's less well known is that the ASUS Eee has no hard disk, just a mess of flash RAM.  And as I've discovered backing up to a little USB 1 GB plug-in flash chip, flash memory is a LOT slower writing than to a hard disk.  No wonder it's a dog trying to run XP."
