Hmm,

So, 250 milion dollars a year to construct, install, and maintain most of
Australia's copper, fibre, and broadband networks? Obviously, the current
Telstra board intends to spend virtually nothing on network maintenance :-(
So $250 million, and, what was Telstra's profit? And Sol's annual salary?
After commercial upgrades, how much pole / pit maintenance will now happen?

Service Stream Limited has been awarded by Telstra Limited a national
contract valued at $1 billion for four years. The contract, referred to as
Access and Associated Services, covers replacing existing contracts with
Telstra that covered installation and maintenance and specialist services
valued at approximately $55 million in the 2007 financial period. The new
contract represents the Companys move to full national supplier status
with Telstra. This involves the supply of services to each state and
