Thanks for the heads up. Will keep that in mind when/if I get an
Android powered device.

This reminds me of the IBM 32-bit OS/2 2.x - Warp situation where
third party developers often created way better drivers than "Big
Blue" (from mouse to multi-port rs232 to video to you-name-it), yet
IBM in all its wisdom never really cared enough to actually *buy*
those drivers (or hire the developers) and bundle the working third
party drivers with the OS instead of continuing shipping the default
broken ones. (NIH - "Not Invented Here!" syndrome).

Finally, IBM did license and bundle third party drivers (Scitech
Display Doctor and others) but when it was too late (´97-2000) and it
had given up on the fight with Microsoft, not when those were really
needed (1992-1995).

The bad thing about getting old is that if you watch closely, you see
the same mistakes repeated over and over... companies (and execs) do
not learn from the others´ mistakes.
