i suspect this kind of flooding never made it into anyone's risk
planning scenarios.

once upon a time, in a land not so far away, organisations used to have
local replication of services. then it became fashionable to outsource
them, and/or centralise them - to reduce costs.

i wonder how many service centres will have to be rebuilt. how many were
located in qld?
