The other point I'd make on copper last mile is that it was meant to have been superseded. The practical effect of that is Telstra was expecting the copper last mile to fall out of use, and so haven't maintained it much at all. If that last mile is now necessary again, then there is a huge overhang of bodgie repairs and delayed maintenance. -glen
