Can HFC carry 100 Mbps and later 1 Gbps? That's what Malcolm Turnbull just said on ABC radio. Can it do it without degradation or is it still a shared delivery system that dies the more people you put on it?

If it's the latter, then we're being sold a very sick puppy.
