Most of the problems arising from the MTM strategy are technical & strategic which isn't easy to get across to an electorate, particularly when most current NBN users are probably very happy vegemites on FTTP services.

It will become a hot potato when an entire small town loses all FTTN voice & data services because the street cabinets have been flooded and services take weeks to restore.
