kiau: Mihalic says this is derived from a New Hanover language. Mosel
(1980: 30) says it is from the Gazelle Peninsula. Any comments on this?

I have kiau as Tolai for Megapodius freycinet, which would seem like the
most probable source. However, names of this form for megapodes are fairly
widespread, occurring e.g. in Mussau, Mbula and Buin. Whether any or all of
these could be loans from TP I don't know.
