Observations in New Ireland, 1997-2001:

>harim: to obey (Lattas, 2001: 168, 172)

yes, but even more 'harim tok' in this sense (much more
frequent than listening to speeches). Even of dogs: Ol i
no save harim tok liklik! = they don't do what we tell
them to do.

>kandere: 1) maternal relative 2) country (Lattas, 2001: 168)

Only 1). Country was kantri (notionally rather vague I think!)

>wannem: namesake (Lattas, 2001: 176); does this have wider usage?

Only as namesake (special type of relation). More often wanain
- possibly to avoid confusion with wanem 'what'. (Actually, spelling
with double 'n' is a bit sus in Tok Pisin, isn't it?)

>kaikai:euphemism for cargo (Lattas, 2001: 179)

Didn't notice this one

Not in my observation but I was mainly in the countryside
