The department of Linguistics and Foreign Languages, University
of Papua New Guinea, in association with the Alliance française de Port
Moresby just published a Tok Pisin-French dictionary. The dictionary is made
by UPNG students under my supervision. It provides a useful tool for PNG
people in learning French and for French speaking people in learning Tok
Pisin. It is composed of two parts: a Tok Pisin-French version where most
of the words are illustrated by one or two sentences allowing to understand
the meaning of a word in its use. The second part, is a French-Tok Pisin
glossary.
The dictionary is currently available at UPNG book shop or at the Alliance
française de Port Moresby.
