them. The Pacific is a vast region, covering 34% of the earth’s surface, and faces serious threats from: environmental degradation; climate change, identified by Pacific Island leaders an issue of national security; and challenges such as solid and hazardous
waste. These are compounded by realities of limited capacity and vast distances.</span></font></span></font></div>

organisations. SPREP’s 85 person secretariat is based in Apia, Samoa and works on behalf of its 26 member countries and territories in the Pacific to protect and improve the environment, and to ensure sustainable development for present and future generations.
David’s professional experience ranges from executive and CEO level to practical "on ground" field management. He has worked for more than 35 years, largely in the fields of environmental and natural resource management, at international, regional (Pacific)
and national (Australia) levels. David has worked in more than 60 countries on a range of aspects relating to organisational change, climate change, environmental and natural resource management, and World Heritage.</span></font></span></font></div>
