<i>West Papua Project</i>, ‘At the Intersection: Pacific Climate Change and Resource Exploitation in West Papua’.

<div style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">This two-day conference addresses two of the most pressing concerns in the Pacific region today –<b> climate change in the Pacific, and West Papua’s resource conflict</b>. It asks, what do these
problems have in common, and in what ways might it be useful to address them as two manifestations of a common problem?</div>

<div style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">The keynote speaker is the
<b>Hon Ralph Regenvanu</b>, Minister for Lands and Resources in Vanuatu. We will also hear from climate scientists, international NGO workers in West Papua, West Papuan’s working on these issues ‘on the ground’, and social/political scientists. </div>

<div style="font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">The conference will be held at the Female Orphan School (Rooms EZ.G.22 and EZ.G.36) at Parramatta South Campus, Sydney, NSW Australia, on Thursday Nov 3 and Friday Nov 4 (9:00-17:00 each day). </div>
