Dear Cyclists.

Three things:

1. a short message from Pedal Power:

You don't have to be cold and unlit this winter! Pedal Power has arranged a special winter clothing and lighting presentation on Wednesday April 20. This will again be presented by Brian and Marion Simpson from the Bike Shed group. It will be held at the Hellenic Club, Matilda Street, Woden from 7:30 pm.. in the Orpheus Room on the first Floor. They will display a range of lighting options, as well as warm winter gear to help you get through the colder weather ahead. Special Pedal Power discounts will be available to Pedal Power members attending, so put this date down in your calender. After the presentation, riders are welcome to join fellow cyclists in the coffee shop for an informal drink/cake and or a chat.

2. We have sold out of lights, but will be getting some more early next week, probably tuesday, again they will be about $30 for a package including front and rear light; we also still have helmets left ($30), and D-locks ($20). Since January last year we have sold about $10,000 worth of bike equipment to over 300 cyclists  - all these items have been sold at cost price or below cost price.

3. Could those of you who may be interested in participating in some bike maintenance courses, please send me an e-mail. There can be two levels, beginners (changing tyres, basic service etc); and a more advanced course. Please let me know what you want to do. If there are some mountain bikers out there who want to do a course specifically on shocks, please also let me know.
