[R2U.announce] Winter Cycling Apparel/Bicycle Mirrors

Thank you to all those who emailed to indicate interest in cycling gear.
Sorry it has taken some time to get back to you. I have been trying to
organise some discounts for cold-weather cycling gear at a few local
retailers. Thus far two have agreed in principle and should have
confirmation soon. However, as the cold weather has already hit us
thought I better send some info through now.

The rideshop in Braddon has loaned us some winter cycling apparel and we
have set up a little display in the ANUgreen office which you can come
have a look at. (Apparel modelled by our lovely manikin, Ned). We also
have a couple of catalogues for people to flick through.

This site sells cycling and other outdoor apparel. It has a lot of
specials (possibly last season's gear?) so there are a lot of bargains.
Last time I had a look there was a jacket selling for $2.99.

Ground Effect

 

A New Zealand-based company. The clothing is apparently very good
quality (according to Su) and is reasonably priced. Fairly extensive
range of items. In the FAQ section you can get a description of the
different fabrics and the qualities of each.

(Have not come across any sites supplying organic or 'fair trade' cycle

Rear-view Mirrors Coming Soon

 

I have also ordered some rear-view mirrors and should hopefully have
them in within a week or so.
