Hi all,
Quick Reminder that this Wed is Ride to Work Day and we will be hosting
a free brekky and handing out some prizes to ANU cyclists in Union Court
from 8am.
Please register online <http://www.bv.com.au/ride-to-work/> as a

running for more prizes and provides us with some useful stats.
Thanks to Ruud Van Scheppingen for forwarding the very informative vid
on how to avoid magpie attacks:
'For those who are riding bikes and don't know what to do with magpie
attacks.
We did know of a feral magpie at Clunies Ross Street so last Monday we
did some research on this issue and went on our bikes to the CSIRO
Discovery car park.
See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wHreVKgOT4

Enjoy the show (but keep your helmets on).
Ruud'
Cheers,
Adam

Subject: Ride to Work Day Wed 14 Oct
Hi all,
That time of year is approaching once again ... when the Lycra-clad and
helmeted congregate in Union Court for pancakes and coffee. Ride to Work
Day is on Wed 14 October and we will be hosting a free brekky for
cyclists in Union Court from 8 - 9.30am. As usual there'll be spot
prizes up for grabs and plenty of food.
Register as a member of Team ANU
Register online <http://www.bv.com.au/ride-to-work/> to be in the
running for prizes. Our team code is 141836
Indoctrinate a mate
Ride to Work Day is always a great opportunity to finally give riding a
go for those who've been procrastinating. If you have a friend or
colleague in that situation, having a set date for action and the offer
of a riding companion and pancake reward may help them commit to give it
a go. Some tips for new riders can be found in the 'Thinking about
riding to work? <http://www.bv.com.au/file/RTWD09_DL_Brochure2(2).pdf> '
brochure.
Hope to see you all there.
Cheers,
Adam Taylor
