[R2U.announce] Final update on Nth Rd bike path

Hi all,

Unfortunately the tune has changed a bit since my last email. I have
been advised that the option I mentioned previously is going to be
prohibitively expensive and the arc side barriers are back on the cards
(see pic). I realise that some of you are not fans of this kind of
barrier and they may slow bike traffic along that stretch, but they
should be a lesser evil than having cars on the path. I would have a
hard time challenging them. All things considered they appear to be a
solution that will strike a reasonable balance between the various
competing concerns and opinions. Sorry if I raised some false hopes - I
was merely passing on the advice I had received.

The rails will be installed within the next few weeks. I have requested
that they are spaced as wide apart as feasible for a car barrier.

Thankyou to everyone who has provided feedback. Sorry to those of you
who are not interested in this issue for the volume of email traffic on
the subject.

Cheers,

Adam
