Dear All

 

I am writing to advise you of the Changed Traffic & Parking Conditions:

 

* CARPARK CLOSURE - The following carpark will be closed from COB Friday
September 3 2010 until January 2012. Block 6 Section 21 on the corner of
Barry Drive and Marcus Clarke Street will be temporarily closed to allow
for re-development of the site as part of the ANU Exchange and will
include student accommodation, student services, some retail shops at
ground level and two levels of underground car spaces (approx 720 spaces
in total). Alternative parking is available at 121 Marcus Clarke Street
(entry off Childers Street). Currently this carpark is charging
approximately $9.00 per day. 

* CARPARK DISRUPTION - The following carpark will experience temporary
disruption to allow for provisional relocation of community groups from
Kingsley Street to the rear of the Childers Street carpark Block 5
Section 30 (next to the Street Theatre). Temporary disruption will occur
for the month of September 2010 until confirmation of specific work days
can be identified at which time a further notice will be issued. 

Holders of government all day pre paid vouchers are advised to call
Parking Operations Helpline on the following number T: 6207 7200 or go
to the following website.
http://www.ors.act.gov.au/parking/WebPages/information.html Alternative
parking is available at the following locations; 121 Marcus Clarke
Street (entry off Childers Street between the Multi Storey Carpark and
the Black Glass Building - 640 car spaces with lifts to building lobby),
Multi Storey Carpark (entry of Alsop Street), Long Stay Carpark,
adjacent to the ACT Courts (entry off London Circuit), Watson Street,
Turner and Westlund House Carpark (between ANU Arts Centre and Screen
Sound Australia).
