	Enrolment and Student Status Codes

There have been a number of students enrolled using the
incorrect student status code this year. Below is a table outlining the
most common codes.

Please do not use any other codes without checking with the Fees
office first.

All HECS-HELP and FEE-HELP students have their term activation
coded as upfront (i.e. 202 or 302); they will be deferred by the Fees
office as appropriate.

Using the correct student status code is important as it affects
the amount that the student is charged.

Also, just a friendly reminder - The 'Application for Reduced
Study Load' forms need to be sent directly to Ellen Poels in the
International Student Services (ISS) Office, not up to me in OPAR.

Ellen records these students' details in a spread sheet and if
there is any change to the program end date as a result of the student
being approved to underload, she contacts me with the relevant
information and I amend the ECoE accordingly.

All other forms (Request for Change to ECoE and Enrolment
Variations - where the student is not underloading, simply swapping/
adding courses) can continue to be sent directly to me.

The DRSS Social Club needs new volunteers!

The Social Club is responsible for the end of year Division
Christmas party and other events such as the Taste of Harmony morning
tea. One of the main fundraisers they organise is the highly subsidised
chocolates and soft drinks that many of us enjoy to get us through the
work day. If you can spare a half hour a week, sometimes more, mostly
less, please contact Julie-Ann Snudden (Julie-Ann.Snudden at anu.edu.au).

EXAms, Graduations, Prizes & timetabling

HDR Approvals need to be with us by end of May to guarantee a
place at Grads.

Potential Graduands are currently being assessed for July 2011
Graduations. Eligible students will receive invitations to their
University email accounts from the 17th May, and will be required to
respond to their invitation by the 17th June if they wish to have a
degree conferred in July.

Any Graduation queries from staff or students should be directed
to graduation.officer at anu.edu.au

The 2010 Chancellor's Letters of Commendation coursework letters
- both undergraduate and postgraduate - were sent out electronically on
Wednesday 6 April. In total there were 1306 letters.
