Sailing Practice (Monday 16th November and Thursday 27th November )

Next Monday 16th November and Thursday 27th November from 4pm until around 7 or 8 an experienced sailor will be at the club to answer your questions and supervise your sailing. This will be a good opportunity to come down to the club when there are people there to sail with and help you rig. From then on the best time to sail will be Tuesday Nights during the Twilight Series (details below).

ACT Dinghy Championships Sat 22 & Sun 23 November

The ACT Dinghy Champs are held on Lake Burley Griffin on a weekend in November. Despite the name which maybe intimidating to beginners the standard is just the same as normal club racing although with more boats. A number of crewing positions are open to club members regardless of your sailing experience. If you already have racing experience you can be allocated a boat for yourself. Cost is $35 per boat although around 75% will be covered by the club. If your interested give me an email u3299815 at anu.edu.au and I will try to match skippers with crews.

Twilight Learn To Race (starting 2nd December)

Starting on 2nd December on Tuesday Nights from 6-7:30 pm the YMCASC will be running Twilight Racing. This is a beginners series and is designed for those who have just completed a beginners course and want to learn how to race. As opposed to normal racing coaching powerboats will be on hand to give advice and assist you. This is an excellent opportunity to learn to race or just a good time to go sailing because it is supervised. There is no cost since it is paid by the ANUSC.
