hello all,
firstly, market day will not be on this thursday, it has been removed from the calendar due to us not having any way to get a boat to university and also a few pressing assignments. we are hoping to be able to organise it for thursday week, any committe members (or anyone else or that matter) who could possibly sit at the stall and encourage prospective members is free to come along thurs 28th 10-4pm. It will also be a good opportunity to renew your membership for the upcoming season or sign your friends up.
secondly, as those who came along to the working bee on sunday would know, we have just recieved two brand spanking new windsurfer sails. they are the orange and red ezzy infiities and they look very cool. paul had the honour of christening the 6.0 yesterday and said it was also very good to sail.
this also raises the point that the calendar is beginning to be used to advertise open times. we are still attempting to sort out who has keys for hire but this information will be available soon. so until then keep an eye on the calendar and make use of the advertised open times. the water is nowhere near as cold as it usually is this time of year.
and lastly, the ACT tasar sailors have a new 'organiser' who is very keen to get some boats along to the CYC sunday races (1pm start) send me an email if you would like to sail one of our tasars in this series and we will look into what would be required. At the moment competition is fairly sparse with only one tasar racing last weekend.
and one last thing, remember open day (at the club) is sunday oct 1st, official shed opening and social sail day.
  aidan
