I have been in touch with NSW maritime and tentatively arranged for them to come to us to conduct safety training and administer the requisite test on the evening of 12 May. If you pass the test you will be issued with a logbook which outlines a series of competencies that you must demonstrate on the water under the supervision of a boat license holder with 3 or more years of experience. These competencies must be demonstrated over a minimum of 3 supervised boat trips. In the event that the club runs a special trip for prospective licensees we will need to cover the costs of towing and boat fuel.
