Hi everyone,<br><br>There is a team-racing regatta organised by the Grammar School, YMCA and the ANUSC this Sunday 9th December. Team-racing is very fun and a good way to memorise the sailing rules. Additionnally, this is the kind of sailing that we are doing at the Uni Games so it is a good practice.<br>
<br>We are looking for 3 additionnal sailors to join the team. Team racing is 3 boats vs 3boats and you have to get the best combination to win. For example, if team A do 1, 2, 6 (=9points) they win over team B 3,4,5 (12points). So it is not like fleet racing because you have to obtain the winning combination and work as a team. If you don't have the winning combination you have to block the other boats.<br>

Ahoy sailors.<div><br></div><div>Sailing this week:</div><div>As of yet, we have no committee member able to commit to tonight. So at the moment the shed will not be open. If anyone does want to open the shed and can get to campus to get the key off me, then send me an email. Etienne may be heading down, if he finishes work early. I'll try to keep you updated, but keep an eye put on the Facebook group and club calendar.</div>
<div>The shed will be open on Wednesday evening by Alex for the CYC twilights and myself for more casual sailing. This will be from 5pm.</div><div>The shed will be open on Saturday and Sunday this weekend but times tbc later in the week. Likely from midday onwards or so.<span></span></div>
<div><br></div><div>Teams Racing:</div><div>This Sunday we will be taking part in a mini teams racing regatta with the YMCA, Canberra Grammar and Canberra Girls. This is a great opportunity to practice our racing in this fun format. The boats and format will be similar to what we race at Unigames. We are looking for an additional sailor who wants to take part. Any student who is thinking about Unigames next year and wants to start learning the ropes of pacer and teams racing is highly encouraged to try it out is weekend. Contact myself or Etienne if you are interested.</div>
