[ZeroES.announce] Meeting this Monday 4pm and interview with Clive Hamilton

Dear Zero Emissions announce list,

Things have been a little quiet of late, but get ready for things to
pick up again tomorrow at our first meeting for this term!

The meeting is in the ANUSA Conference Room at 4pm.

We'll have updates on work in Halls and Colleges and the GreenOffice
program as well as the proposed debate. We'll head for drinks and a
chat at the uni bar afterwards.

I'm glad to announce that we had an interview with Clive Hamilton last
week for Woroni which I've attached. It is about his latest book,
Scorcher: The Dirty Politics of Climate Change. If you want to know
where our Federal climate change policy has been coming from for the
past 10 years I highly recommend getting hold of a copy.

I have also attached a letter that I have recently sent to a group of
other clubs and societies on campus inviting them to work with us in
organising a large forum involving politicians academics and business
figures about the role government should be playing in reducing
climate change. Be sure to forward it on to any people who might want
to be involved.
