[ZeroES.announce] AYCC 'Rescue Our Future' meeting this Wednesday

Welcome back to ANU everyone, I hope you had as relaxing a break as I did!

I hope you can make this meeting organised by Emma Kefford for the
Australian Youth Climate Coalition:

"THIS Wednesday -18th July at 5pm in the ANU Students' Association there is a
very exciting meeting about an upcoming youth climate action in Canberra.

Please come along to the meeting and help us organise the event.

The action is at 2pm on August 9th and involves the convergence of many,
many, MANY (hopefully!) young people on Parliament house to express our
alarm at inadequate action being taken on climate change and launch the
Australian Youth Climate Coalition's (AYCC- youthclimatecoalition.org)
'adopt a politician' campaign.

Inside the house Peter Andren (an independent MP- house of reps) and Bob
Brown (Greens, as there are no independents- Senate) will be presenting the
AYCC's petition to both houses. We're hoping to fill the galleries with
young people so they can't avoid seeing us! The action is called – 'Rescue
our Future'. It is a non-partisan event- we are simply demanding better
climate policy from all politicians!

There are also lots of great speakers lined up AND music (the andi and
george band) AND more…
