Welcome to the final week of semester!
***Meeting today***
Today we will be having a relaxed and brief meeting with nibbles and
drinks, so come along to the Students' Association conference room at
4pm to join us. We'll be talking about the last few weeks and
developing a plan for next semester.

***Global Carbon Project Seminar on August 7th***
We are proud to announce that Josep Canadell, Executive Director of
the Global Carbon Project will be presenting a seminar for us on
Tuesday the 7th of August. He'll be talking about the latest research
to come out of the Global Carbon Project on the carbon absorption
capability of forests and the ocean. Should we be giving a higher
priority to land management and use to reduce carbon emissions?
We'll have more details when we can book rooms for next semester.

***ANU Green development loan fund***
In order the further improve environmental performance the ANU has
established a Green Loan Fund, that will provide funding for projects
that demonstrably reduce the environmental impact of the ANU in
critical areas like water consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and
waste management.
The fund provides interest free loans for projects that have a
ten-year or less return on investment. Read more:
