Hi everyone,
Meeting today in the ANUSA conference room at 4pm as planned.
We will get a some thoughts passed on from a Yale intern (Sean) about
the current discussions in ANUgreen on reducing ANU's carbon footprint
and what influence we can have on the process. Millie Rooney from
ANUgreen will also be there to pass on information about her project
to reduce the ANU's greenhouse gas emissions by10,000 tonnes by 2010
and give us some materials we can work on.
We'll try to get through that in good time so that at the end of the
meeting we can go out to put up posters for the Walk Against Warming
as requested by the Conservation Council as well as some other for the
following presentation that has just been organised:
THE POTENTIAL FOR BIG SCALE RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ANU's SLIVER CELLS
Andrew Blakers (Director of the Australian National University Centre
for Sustainable Energy Systems)
1pm October 2nd
Manning Clark Center Theatre 6
(I'll send out a more extended blurb of that presentation once we get one!)
Postering glue, sticky tape and blutac will be provided. Sorry for the
late reminder - I hope many of you can make it.
Cheers,
--
