Dear all,
The first ANU Zero Emissions Society meeting of the semester is tomorrow,
4pm in the ANU Students' Association meeting room. Come and help decide on
what we should do this semester. There'll be food =)
Agenda:
1. Public talks
2. Farmers' markets
3. Green power at uni
4. Other ideas for this semester
e.g. a few ideas mentioned lately:
- Organise relevantly expert academics to effectively advocate for policy
change
- Stall or event where we let people know how to get green power with no
added cost
- Overarching carbon emissions policy at ANU
- Campaign for eating less meaty/less distantly sourced foods, combining
events, food outlet sponsership, recipes, market trips, other things
- Other themed collections of events
- Initiative where students can contribute for green electricity for
degree, or college stay and uni pays the rest
- Competitions for individual behaviour change related issues.
- Campaign for more green power at uni
- Talks
- Movies
See you soon,
--
