Dear list members,
The following message was sent from Robert Langridge [

Australia may be able to help him with his request.
Subject: Paleo-water depth + Paleo-shoreline
Gidday,
I'm trying to get an idea of whether anyone has ever used grainsize of
sediments to predict water-depth. In particular, rather than the marine
setting, I am interested in small closed lake basins, such as those
Pleistocene lakes of the western US.
Put another way, does anyone have knowledge of modern facies studies of
small lake basins, that could be used as analogs for paleolakes?
Does anyone know of any literature in this area, or is working in this
field of sedimentology?
Thanks in advance.
Robert Langridge
