Colleagues,
Several important pieces of information.
a. There are only 7 days left for you to register at the cheaper rate
and be assured of a place at the conference. After 15 November
we have to inform P&O Resorts how many beds/suites we need
and they then place the remainder on the open market for the
general public. If you wish to come after that date we will do our
best to find you a place, but there is no certainity of our being
successful and even if we are it may not be of your liking.
b. After 15 November the costs of registration for all categories of
conference attendees increase by $100.
c. Blair Hostetler (Blair.Hostetler at mq.edu.au) is always grateful
for expressions of interest for the field excursions. Spaces remain
available for all three excursions. Apart from the free one day
excursion to the SPP oil shale plant in Gladstone costs cannot be
closely approximated for the other two excursions until we have a
better idea of the number of travelers, however, we will send out a
revised estimate by 22 November.
d. Extended abstracts are due in 20 th. December. Drs Anita
Andrew and Sue Golding will be collecting full manuscripts on the
first day of the conference for submission to Applied Geochemistry
Journal. It would be great to have a journal issue dedicated to our
conference. It would be a first!
Don't delay, enrol now!
