APOLOGIES FOR ANY CROSS POSTINGS
Overseas PhD studentships available at Queens University Belfast, School of
Archaeology and Palaeoecology
Queens University Belfast is offering overseas awards to candidates of
outstanding merit and research potential. Applicants need to originate from
non - EU countries. Closing date for applications is the 2nd February 2004.
Application forms and guidance notes are available from the Postgraduate
Office and from the web site: www.qub.ac.uk/pao.
The School of Archaeology and Palaeoecology conducts research of
international importance. The published results of our research have gained
the School, and its staff, an international reputation for high quality
work: in 1996 and again in 2001, we received a Grade 5 in the recent
Research Assessment Exercise of UK Universities. We would particularly like
to encourage candidates with research interests in the broad areas of
chronology, climate change and environmental change to apply. For further
details of our areas of expertise prospective candidates should visit the
School web site: www.qub.ac.uk/arcpal. Prospective candidates are strongly
encouraged to contact a relevant member of staff if they are interested to
apply for any of the awards.
Best wishes,
Nicki Whitehouse
