Hi Everyone,
Apologies for any cross listing. The INQUA Commission for Tephrochronology
and Volcanism is involved in the INQUA Congress to be held at Reno, Nevada,
USA (23 and 30 July 2003) and would welcome abstracts on related topics in
the following oral and poster sessions:
Oral
1. Were abrupt climate changes at the last glacial termination globally
synchronous? (John Lowe, J.Lowe at rhul.ac.uk; Commission on Palaeoclimate;
Commission on Tephrochronology and Volcanism)
Poster
2. Correlation of ice, marine, and terrestrial sequences using
tephrochronology (Chris Turney, c.turney at qub.ac.uk; Siwan Davies,
siwan.davies at natgeo.su.se; Commission on Tephrochronology and Volcanism)
3. Effects of volcanic eruptions on the atmosphere and climate (Jiaqi Liu,
liujq at mail.igcas.ac.cn; Valerie Hall; James Beget; Commission on
Tephrochronology and Volcanism)

date is for submissions of abstracts that must be made by 31 March 2003 on
the INQUA Congress website.
